The Colt Heavy Duty Coil Car Model CK is designed for the purpose of loading new coils on to the uncoilers thus keeping the down time in the Press Feeding Cycle to a minimum. These Coil Cars are self contained with their own hydraulic power pack and have the capability to accurately position the Coil on the Mandrel of the Uncoiler thus preventing possible damage to the Uncoiler Mandrel or to the material. The use of the Coil Car is recommended for situations where material handling equipment is not always available to load coils on to the Uncoiler and to prevent excessive delays in re-loading the Uncoiler. The hydraulic power is used for raising and lowering the table. Also, it provides forward and reverse travel motion. (For CKT Travelling Coil Car) |
